Main Theme: Walking the Ancient Path to Find Rest for Our Soul

Day 5: The Ancient Path of Prayer

📖 Scripture Reading:

Psalm 5:3

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

Prayer is the lifeline on the ancient path. It is the intimate conversation with God that sustains, guides, and refreshes our souls. The psalmist models a daily habit—coming to God early, laying down our burdens, and waiting expectantly for His response.

Walking this path means cultivating a prayerful heart—a posture of dependence, openness, and expectancy. Prayer breaks the power of worry and aligns us with God’s will and peace.

Jesus Himself often withdrew to pray, demonstrating the necessity of communion with the Father in the midst of life’s demands (Luke 5:16).

As you fast today, dedicate yourself to deepening your prayer life. Let your soul rest in the assurance that God hears you and will answer in His perfect timing.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – Philippians 4:6
