Main Theme: Walking the Ancient Path to Find Rest for Our Soul
Day 2: The Ancient Path of Truth
📖 Scripture Reading:
Psalm 25:4-5
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
On the ancient path, truth is our guiding light. It is not a mere set of facts, but the very nature of God revealed to us. Jesus declared Himself as “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). To walk this path is to walk in God’s truth—uncompromising, life-giving, and freeing.
Truth requires humility. It calls us to let go of our own understanding and accept God’s wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
In a world filled with relativism and shifting values, God’s ancient path stands firm. It invites us to embrace His unchanging truth and experience the peace that comes from living honestly before Him and others.
As you fast today, seek God’s truth in your heart. Ask Him to reveal any areas where you have been deceived or have compromised. Be willing to surrender falsehoods so you can walk the good way—God’s way—and find rest for your soul.
